Meet Our Rehab Trainer!
If you book one of our behaviour programmes, your follow up rehab sessions might be carried out by Sally in some cases!
Sally works under my full supervision and guidance (and also has all the relevant qualifications and experience) so you can be assured you’re still getting the best help possible, whether your rehab is carried out by me or Sally.
About Sally
Hi, I’m Sally and I am an Animal Behaviour and Training Council (ABTC) registered Animal Training Instructor with the Professional Association of Canine Trainers (PACT) and a Scentwork instructor with Scentwork UK. I am currently completing a Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Applied Animal Behaviour in order to qualify as an ABTC Animal Behaviour Technician.
I have owned dogs throughout my life, growing up around a variety of working and non-working breeds. It wasn’t until I volunteered as a Canine Care Assistant for German Shepherd Rescue Elite (GSRE) in 2020 that my interest in canine training and behaviour really began. During this time, I was responsible for the rehabilitation of dogs which had been surrendered due to a variety of behavioural concerns; separation anxiety and fear-based aggression being the two most common!
I have owned my current German Shepherd Dog, Rosco, since 2019. He is a ‘rescue’, rehomed from Devon and Cornwall Police due to unsuitability. Whilst he is a fantastic companion, I have worked with him through a lot of behavioural issues; reactivity to other dogs, reactivity to unknown people, uncontrollable mouthing and an inability to settle in any unfamiliar environment. Working with reputable, qualified and accredited trainers, alongside building my own knowledge, has been the lifeline Rosco needed to transition from a high-drive working dog to a loving family pet. I have been where you are likely to be right now; no light at the end of the tunnel and the life you imagined with your four-legged pal in tatters… I completely empathise and I am passionate about giving all guardians the right tools to build towards the life they want with their canine companion.
Alongside my work with dogs, I am a passionate horse rider and throughout my life have owned a multitude of animals including rabbits, guinea pigs and cats. My priority is always the welfare of the animals under my care, ensuring they have freedoms and can live the best life possible.
